MESE 2019: Last Chance for Events’ Industry Award Nominations
Ceremony provides opportunity for industry professionals to shine
Organisers of the forthcoming Middle East Special Event and Exhibition Show 2019 (MESE) are calling on industry professionals to help recognise their achievements over the past 12 months by entering into its annual MESE Awards, on 9 April at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai. The deadline for entries is 5pm, 31 January.
With 23 event-related categories, the annual awards seek to reward innovation, creativity and resourcefulness within the sector. Whether it’s working to an extremely tight budget, contending with temporary structures, or providing innovative technical solutions, all aspects involved in the development and fulfilment of a successful event will be celebrated, including:
- Best consumer exhibition
- Best event on a budget
- Best event space, design and décor
- Best use of technology
- Best use of venue
- Best philanthropical event
The stand-alone achievements of a young industry professional will be recognised in its ‘Young Achiever of the Year’ award. There will also be the chance to be nominated for its highly-coveted ‘Industry Icon Award’, which rewards the outstanding achievements of an exhibition/event professional in the region who has contributed greatly to the growth of the industry, success of their business and the events they’ve worked on over the past year.
The MESE Awards are intrinsically linked to the annual, two-day MESE event, which is the only dedicated event for MICE professionals in Dubai. It provides the ideal opportunity to network with industry peers and find out about latest industry trends and developments through a variety of educational seminars, debates and discussion.
Alan Kelly, Commercial and Strategy Director at Informa Middle East, which runs the annual MESE event, adds: “The MESE Awards provide a fantastic climax to two-days of intense debate and discussion, and celebrates the outstanding achievements of those within the events sector. They give valuable recognition to the extraordinary innovation and creativity that helps sustain the region’s vibrant events’ industry. I would urge all those who haven’t done so already, to submit an entry and showcase their expertise.”
This year’s Middle East Special Event Show and Exhibition takes place from 8-9 April at Madinat Jumeirah. The Awards Ceremony take place in the evening on the 9 April, 7.30-11.30pm, Madinat Jumeirah.
